What's the point of a Shop Crombie tool without the matching whip? 

The Shop Duty Whip-It has a little something extra compared to the matching Crombie. We've kept the proven construction of a machined tang welded into a handle. We've added a bit of length to the handle, as much as possible whilst remaining compatible with a 700c/29-inch wheel, and of course, we've added a matching grip. We've also collaborated with KMC to obtain a more robust chain from their e-bike chain. These chains have a 28% stronger pin design that helps them stay in place when your wrist is under significant torque. We've also widened the tang wherever the chain isn't attached in order to add stiffness and provide more support to the chain. Then we heat-treated the whole thing to get the best out of the steel. 

The other small modification we made concerns the magnets. We don't claim to understand how magnets work, but they're very handy for keeping the chain wrapped around the cassette and stored neatly when not in use. We also offer these magnets as spare parts for the existing Whip-It.
