Mohawk's Cycles: A Story of Passion and Expertise

The story of Mohawk's Cycles is above all that of a team of enthusiasts who couldn't conceive of cycling other than through equipment with soul. Initially, the idea was simple: to bridge the gap between American manufacturers, often distant and difficult to access, and European shops. We never sought to accumulate brands for volume alone, but rather to build a family of coherent products, technical and well-designed pieces that we ourselves would want to ride at the weekend. It's this spirit of selection, guided by passion rather than market share, that has forged our identity over the years.

Naturally, the company has grown and transformed. Our recent move to our new premises marks an important stage in this evolution, as does our structural partnership with ENVE. But whilst the walls have gone up and the team has grown to around thirty employees today, our philosophy remains the same. We see ourselves less as a distribution giant than as a logistics and human platform, dedicated to simplifying the lives of our dealers and making these beautiful products accessible to cyclists here.

What has really changed recently is our desire to go beyond simply moving a box from point A to point B. We wanted to get hands-on again, literally. That's why we've developed a genuine technical centre in-house. Today, Mohawk's is also a workshop where you can smell paint and mechanical grease. We've chosen to integrate craft trades: we hand-build wheels with precision, we carry out custom paint jobs in our own booth and we build complete bikes to order.

Ultimately, our business has evolved. We're no longer just here to import equipment, but to add local value. Whether it's providing responsive after-sales service, advising a shop on a technical build or refurbishing a frame, our team strives every day to provide that extra level of service. It's our way of contributing to cycling culture, by combining the logistics of a modern distributor with the care of a local craftsman.

The Mohawk's Workshop: The Art of Precision Wheel Building

At Mohawk's Cycles, we believe that a wheel is much more than just an assembly of parts: it's the beating heart of your bike. That's why we've developed a world-class in-house wheel building workshop, combining expert human craftsmanship with absolute machine precision.

ENVE Certified Excellence: We are proud to be recognised as Official ENVE Wheel Builder. This rare distinction validates our technical expertise and imposes upon us an uncompromising level of excellence. Every wheel that leaves our workshop meets the highest standards of the American manufacturer.

Technical and Human Expertise Our team of expert wheel builders leaves nothing to chance. From the meticulous lacing of the spokes connecting the hub to the rim, to the final tensioning, every step is monitored. We are equipped with cutting-edge machines to guarantee even tension and carry out the crucial operations of "stress relieving" and spoke stabilisation. This rigorous process ensures a wheel that doesn't budge, dynamic and durable from the very first pedal strokes.

Complete After-Sales Support Because we know our wheel builds inside out, we're best placed to maintain them. Our workshop handles all After-Sales Service: bearing replacement, re-tensioning or truing. Riding with a wheel built by Mohawk's means the assurance of equipment serviced by those who built it.

The Paint Workshop: A New Canvas for 2026

The year 2026 marks a turning point for Mohawk's Cycles, made concrete by our move to our new premises at the end of 2025. This move wasn't just about logistics space; it was primarily about integrating new trades at the heart of our business. Among these new developments, the arrival of our own paint booth is undoubtedly the most symbolic evolution of our transformation into a true service platform.

This industrial tool was designed to meet the growing demand for customisation, particularly from our partner ENVE. Until now, the brand's "Custom Paint" programme required long and costly transatlantic round trips. With this equipment on site, our ambition is to become the European hub for these premium finishes. The objective is simple: drastically reduce lead times for the end customer by applying official colours directly in our French workshop, with the same quality standards as the main factory.

But beyond simply replicating existing standards, this booth opens up an exciting field of possibilities for Mohawk's. It gives us the technical freedom to go further, by offering "bespoke" projects or limited series in future that go beyond the usual catalogues. It's a fantastic new tool that allows us to not just deliver a bike, but to participate in its final creation, thus offering a rare exclusivity in the market.

The Showroom: A Space for Meeting and Passion

At the heart of our new building, the showroom has been designed as a true living space. Far from being a simple display area, it's a bright space where we take the time to discover equipment in its finest detail. This is where you'll find the complete universe of our partner brands, from Pivot to ENVE and Chris King, showcased to allow appreciation of the manufacturing quality that built their reputation.

It's also the natural showcase for our in-house expertise. You'll regularly come across "Dream Builds" fresh from the workshop or frames newly customised in our paint booth, before they're shipped out. It's the place where the catalogue comes to life, allowing you to visualise the final builds and real colours before the bikes hit the road.

Finally, we wanted this place to be above all a friendly meeting point. Whether it's to welcome our dealers, organise technical sessions or simply chat over a coffee, the showroom is open to those who share our vision of cycling. It's a space for exchange, quite simply.

Logistics: The Beating Heart of Our Business

It's often the invisible part of our business, and yet it's where a large part of the trust our dealers place in us is earned. With our recent move to a 2,500 m² space, logistics at Mohawk's Cycles has changed dimension. This new capacity allows us not only to guarantee much greater stock availability on our key references, but also to organise our flows in a more fluid and rational manner. Having parts available in France, ready to ship, is the foundation of our service promise.

But for us, order preparation isn't just about scanning barcodes. Handling a carbon frame, competition wheels or precision components requires particular attention that automation cannot replace. Every order is handled with the care it deserves, by a team that knows the value and fragility of the equipment they're shipping. It's this product expertise, even at the packaging level, that makes the difference on arrival.

Ultimately, our logistics is designed to be the most reliable possible link between the factory and the shop. The objective is simple: to enable our partners to focus on their advisory and sales work, knowing they can count on us for fast and accurate delivery. It's behind-the-scenes mechanics, but it's what ensures the bike is ready to ride the following weekend.

Events: Living Cycling, Together

Beyond logistics and phone calls, we firmly believe that cycling is a product that must be experienced in the field. That's why we attach paramount importance to getting out of our offices to meet the cycling community. Throughout the year, our team travels to the major events on the calendar, from major festivals like Roc d'Azur to more intimate trade shows. It's there, with our feet in the dust or mud, that we take the pulse of the market and share our passion with riders.

These events are the ideal opportunity to put our products to the test of reality. We bring a large fleet of demo bikes to allow everyone to form their own opinion, because nothing beats the feeling of handlebars in your hands to understand the technicality of a Pivot frame or the precision of ENVE wheels. These are special moments where we discuss technique, settings and lines, far from product sheets and computer screens. It's often at a stand or during a test ride that the best discussions arise.

But events at Mohawk's also means knowing how to host. With our new facilities, we now have the capacity to organise our own open days and technical training sessions for our dealers. The aim is to create more intimate moments of exchange, where we take the time to visit the workshop, understand our internal processes and, of course, ride together on our local trails.

Finally, we mustn't forget what happens internally. Because we are first and foremost cyclists, we regularly organise team rides or "lunch rides". These "off" moments are essential for us: they bond the group and remind us daily why we do this job. It's this field culture that we try to convey at every event we attend.
