If you prefer a lubricant that does not need a long drying time before you ride, Bike7 Lubricate Dry and Wet, as well as Quick Dry and Wet, are for you.
Bike7 Lubricate Wet is a blend of high-quality synthetic oil and PTFE that provides optimal lubrication in all weather conditions, on long-distance rides and for all types of bike.
Those who prefer a thinner oil for their road bike or mountain bike in sunny, dry conditions can choose Lubricate Dry or Quick Dry.
Both oils work in the same way.
When you apply it to the chain (for optimal lubrication, lubricate only the chain, inside the links), the oil is initially thin enough to penetrate the rollers thoroughly. This ensures every link is properly lubricated.
After a few minutes, the oil thickens and adheres to the surface. This keeps the oil inside the rollers in place, unaffected by the centrifugal force generated as you ride.
As some oil will also cling to the outside of the chain, we recommend wiping it with a dry cloth before riding (or a few minutes after application: about ten minutes for the aerosol versions and 3–4 minutes for the Quick versions). This removes from the outside of the chain the substance that helps the oil adhere, which is only needed inside the links, so your chain will not pick up dirt during your ride.
After every ride or race, we recommend degreasing the drivetrain with Bike7 Degrease or Chain Clean, then applying a fresh coat of Bike7 Lubricate.
Note: The best place to apply the oil is beneath the rear chainstay, behind the chainrings. This prevents oil from dripping onto the cassette and avoids contact with the disc brakes.
