THM is a European company specialising in the manufacture of high-technology products. Thomas and Petra Mertin founded the company in 1996 in ALT Duvenstadt, in northern Germany.
The breakthrough in the cycling industry came when THM designed and manufactured the world's lightest cranks and forks, tested and approved by the Deutsche Telekom professional team. These products, named THM-Carbon, were hailed as the best available for sports bicycles.

Building on its success, the company grew steadily and in 2003, they moved into their current premises, AM Sportplatz in ALT Duvenstadt.
Over the following years, THM added further components to its range, such as cranksets, brakes and now a stem. THM's high-end products are highly sought after by custom bicycle manufacturers.
