SpeedChip. SpeedChip is a fully synthetic wax produced from the same exotic base oils used in SILCA Synergetic. It is the fastest wax ever used in a cycling lubricant, blended with 3 sizes of submicron and nanoscale tungsten disulfide platelets to further reduce friction and anti-wear properties. Testing has proven it permanently increases chain efficiency by up to 0.6% compared to SILCA SecretBlend hot-melt wax, the only drawback being more frequent lubrication intervals (see chart for details).

EnduranceChip. EnduranceChip is a blend of semi-synthetic waxes featuring some of the longest possible molecular chain lengths in a wax for ultimate durability. Adding EnduranceChip to SecretBlend can permanently increase the distance between re-waxings up to 2.5 times (up to 750km) whilst being as fast as the best wet lubricants and significantly faster than any dry lubricant.

One of the secrets of Secret Chain Blend is that it's a blend of 4 unique wax types and not just paraffin like most other hot wax products. This wax blend along with our exclusive WS2 enabled Secret Chain Blend to stay at the top of ZeroFrictionCycling rankings over the last 3 years, with many competitors reformulating to get closer, but none of them being able to beat it.

The 4-wax blend enabled SILCA to mix what we felt was the best overall blend of high performance, dirt resistance and application longevity, but over the years, as we've worked with professional gravel athletes, WorldTour teams, Olympic medallists and many others, the demand has repeatedly come back to formulate custom waxes for specific events or situations. Rather than making an infinite number of custom blends, we began in early 2024 shipping two different wax additive kits to our athletes and teams to test new formulations based on their events and experiences.

The challenge of wax formulation is that the fastest and most exotic waxes tend not to last as long per application, while the most durable and resistant waxes tend not to be as fast. Rather than mixing new and custom formulations for each event, we gave the power to formulate to the athletes, and the results they've reported back to us have been incredible with over 100 WorldTour wins, Lifetime Grand Prix, Olympic Games and many more!

This new system puts the optimisation process in the athlete's hands. You want a training wax that lasts 600km between waxings, you've got it. You want a race wax that won multiple Tour de France stages, you've got it. You want the craziest time trial wax for your 40km time trial, you've got it.
