The eeSilk stem is articulated in order to reduce rider fatigue by dampening vibrations from the ground. The maximum travel is 20 mm, with an elastomer placed between the body and the part fixed to the steerer. The elastomer density is available in five options (Extra Soft, Soft, Medium, Medium/Firm and Firm). In addition, a two-position lever, easily accessible on top of the stem, allows the filtering function to be activated or deactivated. 

The eeSilk stem is thus highly versatile and adaptable to different surfaces. The lever allows cyclists to use the stem in a compliant position and then lock it out, for example when pedalling out of the saddle. 

The eeSilk stem is available in black in three lengths: 80 mm, 90 mm and 100 mm. Each eeSilk stem comes with three elastomers (also available separately) whose firmness varies depending on the length of the stem. Changing an elastomer and testing your preference is very simple, and does not require removing the handlebar.

Cane Creek recommends first riding on the elastomer that is installed as standard to get a feel for it. The cyclist can then switch to a softer or firmer elastomer depending on their preference and riding style.
