Our mission is to design the best hubs on the market, and the 142 mm x 12 mm rear hubs are THE benchmark for disc road bikes and gravel bikes. That is why we have put all our heart and energy, not forgetting a considerable amount of engineering work, into the design of this hub. We are convinced it is the best all-round disc hub on the market.

The R45 Centerlock™ hubs combine a lightweight hub shell, our legendary in-house manufactured bearings and Centerlock compatibility. The result: smoother rolling, increased longevity, a more pleasant sound and an unmatched design.
Furthermore, the 45 simultaneous engagement points of this hub improve power transfer and traction thanks to our patented RingDrive™ system.
Our steel and ceramic bearings feature heat-treated surgical steel races machined simultaneously for a perfect fit. The quality and speed of our bearings will be felt (and heard) on every ride. The more Chris King bearing races wear in, the faster they become. Regular maintenance, even minimal, will ensure the longevity of this hub, even after many years of intensive use.
All Chris King rear hubs emit that characteristic sound, similar to that of an angry bee.
