The Wolf Tooth GoatLink 11 derailleur hanger extension offsets the position of your Shimano 11-speed MTB rear derailleur, allowing you to run a wider cassette whilst improving performance.

This project started with the desire to run Shimano 11-speed rear derailleurs and shifters with Sram XD 10-42 tooth cassettes. Admittedly, the combination "can" work without modification, but the performance wasn't quite up to the standards of Shimano and Sram's best components.

When used with a 10-42 tooth cassette, the GoatLink 11 repositions the SLX M7000, XT M8000 and XTR M9000 rear derailleurs such that the free chain length between the cassette and the upper derailleur jockey wheel is within 1% of what Shimano intended, whilst improving cassette tooth engagement on the smallest cog by 27%.

Knowing that some situations require a range beyond that provided by 10-42 or 11-42 tooth cassettes, the engineers at Wolf Tooth modified the GoatLink 11 to significantly improve the performance of the Shimano 11-speed rear derailleur with an extended range, such as the XX1 10-44 tooth cassette or Wolf Tooth GCX44 modified X01.

COMPATIBILITY:

• The GoatLink 11 is compatible with Shimano 11-speed rear derailleurs from the SLX M7000, XT M8000 and XTR M9000 series.
• The GoatLink 11 mounts only on standard derailleur hangers.
• Double chainrings (2x) are supported and require a long cage (SGS) rear derailleur with a maximum difference of 12 teeth in the front chainrings (with an 11-46 tooth cassette).
• Triple chainrings are not supported.
• Native Direct Mount frames and Sram derailleurs are not supported.
