The 8-bit system is a group of multi-tools designed to work together to solve most trailside fixes to get you rolling to the trailhead or nearby town. They're lightweight, strong, versatile and small enough to fit in a jersey pocket or ride tool sleeve. All three nest together perfectly using magnets and clever machining for compact storage.
8-BIT PACK PLIERS MULTI-TOOL features 17 functions. At one end of the multi-tool, an 8 mm hex swivel head serves as a driver for the bits that are stored inside: No. 3.5 flat-head and No. 2 Phillips screwdriver bits; 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm hex; and Torx compatible T10 and T25 bits. A spoke key and valve core key are stored at the rear and a file is located inside the upper handle to clean sealant from valve stems. At the other end of the multi-tool, pliers for master link installation/removal and valve stem nut tightening/loosening.
8-BIT TYRE LEVER + DISC BRAKE MULTI-TOOL A double-sided multi-tool with a tyre lever on one side and a disc brake tool on the other. The high-strength plastic lever easily removes tyres without damaging the rim. On the machined end of the multi-tool, an 8 mm flare wrench can open and close the compression nut on hydraulic brakes and there's a slot for rotor adjustment.
8-BIT CHAIN TOOL + UTILITY KNIFE MULTI-TOOL
4 functions. It has a chain breaker at one end and a retractable utility blade at the other. The chain tool is operated by an included 3 mm L-shaped hex key which also serves as a tyre plug insert. A machined slot fits the L key and converts the entire multi-tool into a tyre plug inserter, with the forked end of the L key extending outward. The handles of this multi-tool open to provide storage space for tyre plug inserts, a valve core and a spare mini utility blade. The fourth function is the 16 mm chain tool head which can be used to tighten a loose crank during rides.
Each multi-tool can be paired with any other multi-tool or both. They are sold separately and in this set of three. All existing 8-Bit Pack pliers are compatible with the new 8-Bit System multi-tools.
