The eeSilk stem has a pivoting design that reduces rider fatigue by absorbing vibrations from the ground. It offers up to 20 mm of travel, with an elastomer positioned between the stem body and the section clamped to the steerer tube. The elastomer comes in five firmness levels (Extra Soft, Soft, Medium, Medium/Firm and Firm). An easily accessible two-position lever on top of the stem lets you switch the vibration damping on or off. 

The eeSilk stem is highly versatile and can be adapted to different surfaces. The lever lets riders use the stem in its compliant setting, then lock it out when riding out of the saddle, for example. 

The black eeSilk stem is available in three lengths: 80 mm, 90 mm and 100 mm. Each  eeSilk stem comes with three elastomers (also available separately), with firmness levels varying according to stem length. Swapping an elastomer to find your preferred feel is easy and does not require you to remove the handlebars. 

Cane Creek recommends riding with the pre-installed elastomer first to get a feel for it. Riders can then switch to a softer or firmer elastomer according to their preferences and riding style.
