The pressure relief valve stem nut has been designed to prevent a poorly installed tubeless rim tape from damaging the rim. If the tubeless seal between the tyre inner chamber and the rim is compromised, the rim can pressurise, leading to potential sidewall delamination. The pressure relief valve stem nut prevents this issue through air relief ports located on its inner diameter. The presence of air escaping through these ports indicates a compromised tubeless seal. Recommended for all ENVE tubeless wheels as well as tubeless wheels from other brands.
